Hi, I’m David Menoyo-Ros — a Senior Full-Stack & AI Engineer based in Madrid, working remotely on international projects. My recent years have been shaped by close exposure to two very different but equally demanding engineering cultures: working within a German company delivering European financial infrastructure, and leading the technical delivery of a mission-critical platform for a major Japanese insurance group. That kind of cross-cultural, high-stakes environment is where I do my best work.

My background spans financial data systems (contributed to a large-scale statistical platform at the European Central Bank), full-stack product engineering, and a self-directed stint building DeFi arbitrage infrastructure across Ethereum and BSC. That combination — mission-critical data pipelines, product-grade frontend/backend work, and low-level protocol interaction — shapes how I approach problems.

Increasingly, AI is part of how I work and what I build. I integrate LLM APIs (Claude, OpenAI) directly into product features, design multi-agent workflows, and apply Spec-Driven Development where specs become the living source of truth. I think about it not as autocomplete, but as a new architectural layer.


Full-Stack Engineer

7+ years building production systems across the stack: TypeScript/Node.js backends, React/Next.js frontends, REST and event-driven APIs. I care about clean interfaces between layers, testability, and systems that are easy to reason about six months later.

AI & LLM Integration

I work with LLM APIs at the application layer — not prompt engineering, but actual product integration: structured outputs, function calling, multi-step agentic workflows, and the reliability patterns that make them production-safe. I’ve been applying Spec-Driven Development since early 2025: write the spec, let AI implement, human validates. It changes the pace of delivery significantly.

Data Engineering

Contributed to SPACE — the ECB’s core statistical analytics platform — processing 400M+ financial time series across 300 datasets covering the Eurozone economy. Python data pipelines, statistical workflow validation, performance testing at scale.

Web3 & DeFi

Built a DeFi arbitrage and monitoring system from scratch over 3+ years: cross-DEX price monitoring on Ethereum, Tron and BSC; Solidity smart contracts for automated on-chain execution; integration with exchange APIs for real-time market data. Deep hands-on experience with ethers.js, ERC20/DeFi protocol internals, gas optimisation and wallet management.
